Hail, traveller, and welcome to The Codex of Ultima Wisdom, an encyclopedia that deals with the Ultima series of computer role-playing games by Origin Systems, Inc. and Electronic Arts. The encyclopedia has grown to cover all parts of the series, as well as Ultima Online.

The Codex is open to everyone, so anyone can create or edit a page. So far we have created 4,159 articles. For the basics on editing, you can refer to the Help section.

4,000+ articles 1,200,000+ page views

Martian Dreams, Savage Empire, and Ultima VII (SNES) transcripts have been created.

Martian Dreams and Savage Empire NPCs have been referenced and updated.

Runes of Virtue has seen work on items and NPCs.

Blu3vib3 has played through Ultima VII for the SNES, creating articles for all unique NPCs, dungeons, and items.

Blu3vib3 has also rewritten all NPCs of Ultima IV.

Tribun has been working on reagents, better illustrations, and Ultima Online locations.

Around 1988, when Origin and FCI were creating Japanese versions of the Ultima series, the Japanese publisher JICC published four full length manga based upon the games. As Ultima became popular amongst Japanese gamers, short comics and stories about the series also began to appear in a variety of publications featuring computer game related content. Read More
